on point,

feeling centered,

en pointe, and on center,

at the center of intention:

the point

shake them shoes out
for here there be monsters –
the scorpions slip about the blue bonnets
and the sun sets in the south
west

dark out

we go hunting

for contradictions like

morels, lifting the wet bark, but

just roots
